A pleasant surprised that I just received, the Vietnam orphanage sent picture of the 1st batch of blankets they received and this one happened to be sewn by me. Thanks Hui Khor! ^^
Do they look familiar to you? Yes, these are the second hand bed sheets donated by friends and I had revived them into blankets eventually will be handed over to orphanage home in Vietnam. I had sewn 10 so far, adult size for bigger children, will continue the remaining numbers upon return from KL. Thank you friends for donating the clothes, and bed sheets. Also wanted to thank Wong Yi Thong who is willing to let go of her little suitcase which she used for travelling during her younger days.
These 2 blankets were sold on Facebook to friends of friends. The proceeds are channeled to support a team of volunteer help the Indigenous villagers in Sarawak. The money will be used to purchase and setting 2 mini hydro pumps to generate electricity for the villagers in that community. Thanks to all the FB friends that help to make this project successful.
Can you see me? This is only 1/5 of our patchwork. Come see the full size tomorrow at The Lawn tomorrow from 5-8pm. You are not only seeing patchwork, there are some other activities and games taking place at the same venue. Check it out!
